After searching for many years, we were able to purchase an old ‘water works’ pumping station. The original building has been converted into our storeroom. A new two-storey extension houses our administrative offices.

The brief we had for the new office was that it should work in harmony with the original structure but be constructed in alternative materials. We also had to look at the environmental impact of our business.
The extension is highly insulated, clad in oak boarding and is heated by a wood burning stove to enable us to burn all our waste wood rather than using oil or electric for heating. Although the initial build cost was higher, this will result in long-term savings on running costs.
This extension was undertaken using reclaim materials to match the existing cottage. The end gable wall has been built to replicate the existing.
We have built 2 further extensions to this property, a traditional rear kitchen and a modern glass gabled lounge/bedroom.

BlakeneyReturning to an existing client, RJ Bacon removed the existing car port to enable building of new car port with en-suite bedroom above.
